Term 3 Week 8 - Tuesday
Nau mai, haere mai to another wonderful day of learning in Year 0/1 at Elm Park School. Here are today’s tasks;
Literacy:
Reading:
Today we will be listening to our lovely student teacher from Room 6, Miss Tubalado. She will be reading a Maori action story called “Mahi”.
Writing:
Today we are going to write our own mihimihi. This is a way that we can introduce ourselves in Te Reo Maori. You may be able to write this out by yourself or you may need to ask someone in your bubble to help you. Remember to do your best. Your classroom teacher would LOVE to see your completed mihimihi, so please feel free to send this through to her. :)
Numeracy:
Today we are learning to recall facts to 5 and 10. Think about which of these is better suited to you and give those numbers a go. Remember to just try your best. Have a look at the examples below to see how Mrs Kirby uses materials she had around her house to help her with this.
Physical Education:
Miss Tubalado read us a story with lots of Te Reo action words. See if you can try out some of these actions below. You might like to ask someone in your bubble to help you to read the Te Reo name for these action words. You could also use this video to help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsHreGqxNoc

Today we are going to learn how to grow our own kumara.
