Term 3 Week 5 - Wednesday
Term 3 Week 5 - Wednesday
Literacy:
Reading:
Choose a book of your choice to read. You might like someone to read to you or you might like to read to
them. The choice is yours!
Think about your favourite character. Use the below template to create a character profile. You may just
like to draw your character or you may be able to complete the template independently. Just try your
best :)
Writing:
This week’s learning intention is;
We are learning to put our capital letters in the right place.
Ready for some more Karate Punctuation?

Let’s get writing! Have a hunt around your house for some stickers, an old magazine or some junk mail.
Stick a picture in the middle of your page and illustrate around it. Get creative! Write a story about what is
happening in your picture.
Someone at your house might like to help you by writing your sentence for you to copy. You may be able
to write a sentence or even a page all by yourself! Just do your best :)
Remember to check that your capital letters are in the right place!
Feel free to take a photo and email your writing to your classroom teacher.
Numeracy:
Today our learning intention is:
We are learning to order numbers from smallest to largest.
You are going to need some numbers! You could use playing cards, cut up an old calendar or write some
numbers on little squares of paper or cardboard.
Once you have your numbers, place them in order from smallest to largest.
You may wish to start with numbers 1-10 and extend to 1-20 if you can. You might even like to try some
even more tricky 2 digit numbers! Just try your best :)
Dance:
Click on the link below and learn the choreography for this hip-hop dance. Soon you could be an expert
like the students in the Talent Show finals!

Science:

recipes below.

Don’t forget to ask a grown up to help you. Your teacher would love to see your kitchen creativity. Please
take some photos and email them to her.
Enviro:
Check out the DOC link below to see how you can create your own Nature Journal to store some of the
fabulous things you find in your garden or while out on a walk.
Thank you so much for learning with us today. Tune back in tomorrow for some more distance
learning lessons with your Year 0/1 teachers. :)
