Term 3 Week 5 - Friday
Welcome to another wonderful day of learning in Year 0/1 at Elm Park School. Here are today’s tasks;
Literacy:
Reading:

Think about what happened in the beginning, middle and end of the story. You can use the below
template to help you organise your ideas.
Writing:
Today we are going to publish our favourite piece of writing for the week!
You may like to do this by typing it out on a device or copying it in your neatest handwriting onto a piece
of paper. You could ask someone to help you with this.
Your classroom teacher would LOVE to see your work. It might even get posted onto the blog for everyone
to see! So try your best! :)
Numeracy:
This term Year 0/1 have been learning about measurement for our strand maths.
Today’s learning intention is:
We are learning to measure height using non-standard units of measurement.
You are going to need a helper for today’s activity. Find some objects in your home that you can measure
with; lego, crayons, books etc. Just remember that all of your objects need to be the same. Get your
helper to lie on the floor flat on their back and line up your measuring objects end to end next to them
to see how tall they are.
Jump Jam:
Friday’s at Elm Park School mean JUMP JAM! Luckily this doesn’t have to stop while we’re learning
from home. Click the link below and choose the song you’d like to jump and jam to today.

Ask someone to take you for a listening walk and complete the activities below. The people in your bubble
might be able to play the game with you.
Thank you so much for learning with us today. Tune back in on Monday for some more distance
learning lessons with your Year 0/1 teachers. :)
