Here are today’s tasks;  Literacy:  Reading:  Click the link below to listen to the story “Elmer and the Lost Teddy”.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYf7Ehx4IHw&t=1s Writing:  We use WOW words to make our writing more interesting. Can you put these WOW words into sentences? Here are today’s tasks;  Literacy:  Reading:  Click the link below to listen to the story “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” with Michael Rosen. You might like to try to act out the actions alongside him. Some of you might have been lucky enough to have read this Big Book in your classroom with your teacher. There are some examples of story maps in the photos below. You can draw pictures, or find things in your garden to glue onto your story map. You can also write some words or sentences explaining what is happening in your story map. Today we are going to write some new facts that we learnt about maps. You might like to think about what maps are used for or what they look like.  Numeracy:  Inquiry:  As part of our EOTC inquiry unit we are looking at how we can use maps to keep ourselves safe. Have a look at the map of the Auckland Zoo below. Maybe you have visited the Zoo before with your family. Did you use a map to help you to find the different animals that you wanted to see?  https://www.aucklandzoo.co.nz/visit/zoo-map Science:  Sadly we are not able to visit cool places like the Auckland Zoo while we are keeping safe at home. Here are today’s tasks;  Literacy:  Reading:  Click the link below to listen to Suzy Cato reading “That’s Not the Plan”. This is a story about a family who goes camping. Here are today’s tasks;  Literacy:  Reading:  Today we will be reading the story “A Safe Place”. You can download the text and read along with the audio on this website. Some of you may have already read this Big Book in your classrooms with your teachers. Write about something that you noticed. Mrs Kirby has created the fabulous example below. I love how she has included lots of WOW words in her writing!  Numeracy:  Today we are learning to skip count in 2’s. Grab some shoes from around her house and use them to help you practise. You might like to try skip counting in 5’s or 10’s too!  Inquiry:  Last week Mrs Kirby taught us how to choose a good materia
